We got a visit from the Pace family over Labor Day weekend! They moved out to NJ in the summer and we were so excited to get to see them! Only on the east coast, far away from family, can a three hour drive and a state away be considered neighbors! But they really are the closest friends/pseudo family we have out here and we're looking forward to spending more time with them!
We didn't have anything major planned, but we took them to Lewes Beach one day for the awesome absence of waves for the kiddos. Evan loved his first beach experience! And Jaden loved having a little friend around to play with!
After the Paces left, we were invited to a bbq at the home of some ward members (Tom and Kim), where we took advantage of the paddle boat :). It was the perfect relaxing *moment* after a crazy summer (if you can call paddling in circles relaxing...we shouldn't have put Jaden in charge of the steering :)).

it's totally weird (and depressing) to read posts about the summer when it's so COLD and SNOWY outside. Beaches and watermelons and green grass- do those things really exist?
