Granddad came to visit at the end of September! He was on the east coast for some business meetings and planned a stop at the Howell Family Hotel on his way. We spent a few days visiting and relaxing, but had to drag him out for some fall-ish adventures.
First, we took him to the Dover Air Force Museum.
Jaden was in HEAVEN.
| This is an old Air Force One airplane on display. The decor is kind of old school, but it was fun to tour. They even had the presidential china set on the table in there. |
While we were in the area, we had to stop at the Fifer Fall Festival! Granddad wasn't too interested in being out in the hay and corn because of his hayfever, but he was happy to let us take our time. It was seriously the only Saturday in a period of six weeks where we could have a family day up there. We love that festival so it was nice of him to let us go.
Jaden sure loved having some good one on one time with his Granddad! He left for his meetings and then came back at the end of the week to spend conference with Jaden and me while Steve was out of town. It was great to have him around.
An interesting note--Jaden has had individual visits from each of his grandparents this year. I don't know how that ended up happening, everyone visiting on their own instead of together, but it was fun to have more visits!
Thanks for coming! We love you!
