three years and some fish

Once upon a time, clear back in December, we hit our three year anniversary mark! The big day was Dec. 19th, but with Christmas and Jaden's birthday in the same week, we decided to hold off our celebrations until the first of January. (We did go out for alligator while Jaden had fun with "Uncle" Mike and "Aunt" Connie though, so the day wasn't totally looked over. Not to mention a surprise dozen red roses and sympathy card from Steve-thanks babe!)
My parents came out for a visit and planned their trip so that Steve and I could have a little overnight getaway while they watched Jaden. So on a Friday night after work, we took off to the Inner Harbor of Baltimore. Friday night we had a late dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. Saturday morning we got up early and headed to the National Aquarium! We had heard lots of good things about it and figured we needed to check it out. It was SO much fun! Expensive, but worth it. Coolest aquarium ever. It was fun to see the Inner Harbor as well. It looks like tons of fun and we're definitely going to have to go back soon and explore some more. After a few hours at the aquarium--complete with a 4D movie and dolphin show--we had lunch across the street at PF Changs and headed for home. Here's our trip in pictures:

Last year on our anniversary we were unaware that Jaden would be joining our family in the next 5 days. It's amazing how much has happened this past year in our little family. I can't believe how much my love for my two boys has grown. This past year has been difficult and challenging, but so full of joy and wonderful memories. Happy Anniversary, Steven. I love you so much and I can't wait for year four! Let's make it the best ever!
